Kanini was built to be the opposite of a data-hungry startup. We don't want your email, your IP, or your drafts. We use a tiny bit of anonymous analytics to make sure the site isn't broken, but other than that, you're a ghost to us.
Local-First Processing
The 'Brain' of Kanini lives in your browser. When you humanize an essay or encrypt a message, that data never touches our servers. It's computed on your device, by your hardware.
Privacy-First Analytics
We use Umami to see how many people visit. Unlike Big Tech trackers, Umami is cookieless and anonymized. We see 'a person visited,' but we don't know who you are, where you live, or what you're doing.
No Data Harvesting
We don't sell data because we don't have it. We don't train AI models on your drafts. We don't have a database of your 'Secret Ink' images. Your secrets die with your session.
Zero Cookies
We don't use tracking cookies. No 'retargeting' ads will follow you around the internet because you used Kanini. We keep it clean and lean.
What we collect (The honest list):
- Page views (via Umami)
- Device type (Desktop/Mobile)
- Country of origin (Anonymized)
- Referral source (How you found us)
What we NEVER collect:
- Your name or email
- Your IP address (masked by Umami)
- The content of your essays or messages
- The images you upload to Secret Ink
